Full-time, tenure-line (beginning 2010-2011 academic year), faculty position. Responsibilities include teaching a full range of developmental and college-level mathematics courses.

As the role of faculty continues to evolve, responsibilities and expectations transform appropriately. A partial listing of faculty responsibilities includes curriculum development, assessment activities, appropriate use of technology, participation on committees, academic advisement of students, mentoring and collaboration with colleagues, as well as participation in recruitment and retention activities. Faculty members are also expected to have flexible schedules to adjust to the needs of the student population, and to be open to exploring alternative teaching modalities.
Required: Master’s degree or higher in mathematics or a closely related field with at least 15 graduate hours of pure mathematics; undergraduate coursework must include the calculus sequence (I, II, III) plus at least 6 credit hours beyond the calculus sequence; and coursework in Real Analysis at the undergraduate or graduate level.
Preferred: Experience teaching a range of mathematics courses at the community college level, from imputed courses to college-credit courses. The quality of teaching module/presentation during interview will aid in identifying the successful candidate.
